Walking Can Transform Diabetics' Lives

This inspiring story chronicles the tale of a man who lost 90 pounds by taking a daily walk, and improved his diabetes in the process.
He began to make changes in March. In the year prior he'd been to the emergency room three times for high blood sugar
and high blood pressure. He weighed 360 pounds. His doctor gave him the bad news: He had diabetes and needed to address it now. (Jones' mother is diabetic as well.) He began medication and changed his eating habits: no more fast food. His doctor nixed exercise for the first month; at month two he started walking.Current workout: For the past five months, Jones has taken a brisk 45-minute walk daily.
Here is an excellent resource if you'd like to gather more information, including workout plans, for walking.
