Cargill - the maker of Truvia™ - recently announced that this product will initially be available at select Manhattan D'Agostino supermarkets while the Truvia™ Greenhouse at Rockefeller Center is up from July 9 - 11 in New York City.

What is Truvia? From the press release that Vanessa Lash forwarded to me:
The sweetener is a refined extract from the stevia plant, native to South America. Stevia has long been a popular sweetener among natural-foods advocates, but until now, was not permitted as a food additivein the United States because of lingering questions about its safety.
In May, Wayzata-based Cargill, in partnership with Coca-Cola, unveiled a battery of scientific studies that they say conclusively demonstrated its safety. After the studies were presented to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the refined version of the sweetener can now be marketed in the United States.
Truvia is making its debut as a table-top sweetener, in a flip-top box designed and manufactured in St. Paul. But there are far bigger uses in the wings, including its use in some Coca-Cola products, rumored to be unveiled to the American public later this month.
Check it out folks. You can also order it online.
