Home Diagnostics recently received FDA clearance for TRUE2go, the world's smallest, no-coding, blood glucose monitor. The ease of use is ideal for busy mom's on-the-go.
Small enough to twist and attach to the top of a vial of test strips, TRUE2go offers patients the convenience of anywhere, on-the-go testing to help them better manage their diabetes. TRUEresult, the latest state-of-the-art, high performance meter, offers patients advanced monitoring capabilities at an affordable price. In clinical testing, both systems achieved a high degree of accuracy and repeatability, and were considered to be easy to use by people with diabetes.
Small enough to fit in a pocket or purse, TRUE2go is designed to twist on top of a vial of test strips, enabling diabetics to more easily test their blood glucose levels while on-the-go for better diabetes management.
TRUE2go is currently available nationwide at Rite Aid and Walgreens and is covered by Medicare, most Medicaid and commercial insurance plans.

Nice and small, but wish it didn't look so much like a monitor, maybe jazz it up a bit with some color. It would be cute and fun to hold.

My health insurance pays for one particular (different) brand of meter and test strips. Although the one my insurance covers is a top of the line meter with many bells and whistles, I keep going back to the TRUE2go meter and strips. Its small size, excellent design, very small blood sample size requirement, and no coding, makes the TRUE2go meter and test strips worth the additional uncovered costs.
