There is a Tai Chi Program for Diabetes

Filed in archive Blogs, Blogging & Blogosphere , Exercise by Gloria Gamat on October 19, 2007

In the past couple of months, I've been experiencing stiffness, pain and numbness in the back of my thighs that seems to go down to my legs leading to some sort of temporary paralysis preventing me to walk much less stand up.

My condition was brought about by too much sitting down for a long time continuously. I blog full time for a living and so i spend lots of hours sitting in front of my PC. And when I do I am so focused in what I do that everything else around me disappears, I lose sense of time and too long a time already passed before I can finally stand up.

At first, my doctor ruled out diabetes, which I am not, thankfully, while a friend of mine recommended Tai Chi. Her exact words: "you need to breath in and breath out while stretching".
