Filed in archive Information , Resources by Gloria Gamat on November 18, 2007

Spearheaded by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), together withe world's diabetes community and its partners/sponsors, the World Diabetes Day happened on November 14, 2007.

Support World Diabetes Day!

The whole word paid their respects to this special day.

How can u help?

For starters, you can support the Life for a Child Program.

Life for a Child encourages governments to establish appropriate care to safeguard the future of children with diabetes.

Funds are donated by individuals, associations, Rotary International, and companies working in diabetes.

Most individual donors contribute a dollar a day. Support is provided to recognised diabetes centres to purchase insulin and syringes, and provide monitoring and education. Financial trails and the health outcomes of the children are carefully monitored.

Check the Life for a Child official website.

OR, you can regularly visit the World Diabetes Day website to stay up to date.
