Parents Get Together To 'Stir It Up'

What if you could do something to improve your child's choices? Many parents believe they can do just that, and have launched a campaign called 'Stir It Up.'
Stir It Up is a movement dedicated to improving nutritional awareness and eliminating junk food from schools.
Parents trying to raise healthy children today are struggling against our junk food, couch potato culture. It is an atmosphere that has contributed to a childhood obesity
crisis of startling proportions. But America's parents are starting to do something about it. You can too by joining the Stir It Up campaign, a national movement of parents working together to ensure all children eat food that is good for them and get the physical activity they need to grow up healthy and strong.Since children spend most of their waking hours in school, our campaign starts there. With so much junk food in schools and so little opportunity for physical activity - our kids are paying a price with their health. Stir It Up is working with educators and school administrators to get soda, candy and other unhealthy foods out of our schools...and physical activity back in. It's a parents' movement that will put children first! No matter how big a problem seems, this reminds us that it's never insurmountable. We can always improve the quality of life, both for ourselves and future generations.
