On Sugar Addiction

I am not much of a sweet tooth myself. I even like my chocolates (bars, drink and candies) and coffee bitter. Also, I can live for ages without ice cream or cakes and cookies. I mean I like eating them too, but I don't crave them either. But I do tend to overstuff myself with bread, rice and pasta (these and salty junk foods!), I guess more than a normal person does. But that would all break down to sugar, so I wonder if I have an indirect sweet-tooth or something.
However, I do get dizzy
, even get terrible headaches when I'm low with carbo from bread or rice: one reason why I can't convince myself to go on the low-carb diet even if I want to shed some pounds. Anyway, I am not diabetic. (At least the last time I checked I am not.) So it makes me wonder if diabetics have sweet-tooth before they were diagnosed and how you managed to rid yourselves of sugar when you found out you were diabetic. Is there not some kind of "withdrawal" symptoms?
An excerpt from Daily Power Walk:
Many people say they don't crave any sugar after totally deleting it from their food intake. I think that first you shouldn't feel bad about wanting sugar. That will only make the matter worse. You will feel more guilty for wanting it and be more aware of your craving. What you need to do is take small steps to slowly get rid of it.
So please...do tell. I (we) would like to know.
