Night Brings Danger For Type 1 Diabetics
Researchers are still at a loss as to how to prevent nocturnal hypoglycemia, the condition of blood sugar dropping too low during the night. This can prove especially dangerous for Type 1 diabetics.

Although diabetics may be in excellent control of their blood sugar levels during the day, control slips when you fall asleep. There are some methods used to combat nocturnal hypoglycemia, including bedtime snacks, the drug acarbose, and doses of terbutaline.

Prolonged studies have shown that none of these remedies can be fully relied on. So, the fight for a solution continues.

What do you do to fight nocturnal hypoglycemia? Have some methods proven more successful than others?
