Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 1: "Diabetes comes from eating too much sugar" - FALSE, BUT COMPLICATED.
Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 2: "Diabetes only happens to old or really fat people, or those with a family history" - FALSE.

Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 3: "This herb/bush will take care of my diabetes" - MAYBE, MAYBE NOT.
Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 4: "If I stop eating sugar, my Diabetes will go away" - COMPLICATED FALSE.
Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 5: "If you feel okay, your blood sugar doesn't matter" - FALSE!
Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 6: "diabetes medicines make you sick and have too many side effects" - perhaps, perhaps not.
Myths and Facts about Diabetes # 7: "Being on insulin means you have 'bad diabetes'" - FALSE.

This is a really helpful list. I\'ve always found that diabetes is one of the most misunderstood diseases. People don\'t realize just how serious it is.
