More on Avandia®

I am getting a little tired of this entire hullabaloo on Avandia®.
FDA says: It will ask outside advisers if GlaxoSmithKline Plc's diabetes drug Avandia® should be taken off the market or remain on sale with new warnings or limits.
GlaxoSmithKline says: Its data showed no higher heart attack risk with Avandia® than other oral diabetes drugs.
The study findings coming out are inconsistent: link and no link of Avandia to cardiovascular risks -depending on which side is releasing the findings.
I really think that big business profit and Big Pharma are taking turns "talking" to the FDA.
Take Avandia® off the market or put new heart warning on the drug's label - there really is no difference - both ways put diabetes patients at risk, if not already.
If I were on Avandia®, I would have asked for a new medicine right after the heart risk issue came out. Period.
And if I were an endrocinologist, I'd stop prescribing Avandia® immediately after the heart risk issue came out and will not wait for the drug to be cleared from such implication.
Guilty or not, better be on the safer side. But that's just me.
