More Diabetes Deaths in Black Children

Possible reasons? Gaps in medical care and information, black youths living in poor areas may have limited access to medical services and lack quality disease education and healthcare, said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
"Incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing. With proper management and access to care, morbidity and mortality from diabetes is preventable, particularly in the pediatric population."
So, the big challenge is that for the government to provide access to medical services and quality disease education and healthcare even to poor (black) communities.
