For diabetics who hate needles, inhaled insulin is nothing short of a miracle. Fueled by consumer appreciation, manufacturers are pumping out more versions. The latest, developed by MannKind Corp, has shown to be as effective as the injectable version.

An interesting side effect? The inhaled version seems to promote weight loss.
