A Mr. Natural Universe winner, Doug Burns is a type-1 diabetic. He decided to share is struggle with diabetes, diet and fitness, that's why SugarFitness was born.
SugarFitness is currently under construction. But you will receive a formal invitation to the private beta phase if you register to be invited to the beta test.
According to Doug Burns:
Even though I have succeeded in the strength and fitness world, I used to be a sick and scrawny little kid who set a goal for himself and persevered. With each other's support, I believe we can all accomplish our goals.
In this spirit, SugarFitness.com aims to provide people with the social network to share their goals, their ideas, their struggles, their motivations, and their successes.
I'll be the sponsor and the moderator of the site - always available to members. I'll ensure that the most current & most accurate information will be available to users of SugarFitness.com.
Maybe SugarFitness is the website you are looking for. Register now.
Also, Doug Burns authored the book The Diabetes Antidote (cover in photo) coming out this summer.
I really think that Doug has turned into a big inspiration for people out there with type 1 diabetes.
