Get Screened For Diabetes Tomorrow

Tomorrow is Diabetes Awareness Day, a time when individuals and corporations join forces to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment for new and long-time diabetics.

The American leader of drug stores, Rite Aid, will offer screening surveys tomorrow. Please stop by, or take someone you love: it could make a difference.

It's important that anyone with risk factors such as being overweight, having a family history of diabetes, being over the age of 45, or leading an inactive lifestyle, take action," said Robert Rizza, MD, President, Medicine and Science, american diabetes Association. "We'd like to encourage people to take the Risk Test at their local Rite Aid pharmacy, and if they score high, talk to their doctor about their results at their next visit. It's a simple, seven-question assessment that could save your life."
