French Fries And Diabetes
Filed in archive Diet on September 29, 2006
Yikes. How can something as small as a french fry be so harmful? At least that's what one study showed.
Consider the research: Women who splurged on french fries just once a week were 21 percent more likely to get diabetes than those who ate none, in a 20-year Harvard School of Public Health study of 84,500 women.
Potatoes have always gotten a bad rap among low-carb dieters, but frying them in grease makes them worse, of course. Do you 'hold the fries?'
