What: Forrest General Hospital's Diabetes Camp

When: July 23-28, 2007

Where: Camp Twin Lakes in Florence

Being organized by Forrest General Hospital (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), this diabetes camp is intended for children aged 7-17 and will be supervised by nurses, dietitians, doctors and a number of other volunteers.

[Kids with diabetes have the freedom at Camp Twin Lakes to select from a number of activities, such as swimming and canoeing, but each is required to have an education period that explains ways to maintain their health with diabetes. The camp provides them the keys to living a long healthy life with diabetes.]

To attend the camp will cost $400 but financial assistance is available.
