Even Stars Can't Escape Diabetes!

In fact, there are many stars afflicted with diabetes.
In the case of type 1 diabetes, those kids are like born with the condition.
ABC Health News has a list of celebrities afflicted with diabetes or have survived or living with diabetes:

Number 1 on the list is the beautiful and pregnant Halle Berry. Oh yeah, after all Cat Woman is just a role she played!
Halle Berry struggled with managing her type 1 diabetes throughout her childhood, and then reported a surprise. "I've managed to wean myself off insulin, so now I'd like to put myself in the type 2 category," the Web site contactmusic.com quotes the actress as saying in early November.
Diabetics quickly admonished Berry for her comments and doctors confirmed: It is not possible to "cure" anyone of diabetes. If Berry were truly a type 1 diabetic, it would be suicide to stop taking insulin. She claims that a healthy diet and exercise has changed the course of her illness.

Number 2 is Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. I know I do not know this young pop until I saw them on The Ellen Degeneres Show in lieu of their concert tour with Hanna Montana superstar Miley Cyrus.
Tweenie pop star Nick Jonas announced he had type 1 diabetes earlier this year. The 14-year-old sensation of the Jonas Brothers Band was diagnosed in 2005, after he had many of the common symptoms: sudden weight loss, extreme thirst and irritability.
I'm not going to go on with the long list, read it all at ABC News and find out how these celebrities are like normal people with diabetes and are managing their condition. Except that maybe the difference lies on the fact that they earn more money than anyone else, making the treatment and living a lifestyle easier for them.
