Entelos Signed Agreement with J&J Pharma R&D for Diabetes Study

among other conditions - Entelos - has joint forces with and has entered into an agreement with Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. in order to pursue studies on diabetes therapies.
As stated James Karis, President and CEO of Entelos:
"Finding the optimal therapies and treatment regimens for specific patient types is a key strength of our in silico disease platforms. The deal reinforces Entelos' stated strategy to enable proprietary drug development, particularly in chronic disease areas where multiple drugs, treatment choices, and large differences between patients make it difficult for health-care providers to select the best treatments.
Type 2 diabetes is a classic example, where several standard therapies are available to treat most patients in the earliest phases of their disease, but where diet, exercise, multiple new drugs, or even surgery could be considered to gain better control of high-blood sugar levels over the long term. We look forward to our continued work in diabetes, an area of great medical need."
Financial details of the said agreement were not disclosed.
It's good that we can look forward to new (maybe better) diabetes therapies.
