Diabetic Kids and Christmas Parties

It's that time of the year again: parties at school, offices and homes in lieu of the holiday season. My weekend was extended because yesterday, my son attended his christmas party at pre-school. He was one of the shepherds in their nativity play.




Kid's Christmas parties will not be complete without gifts, games, foods and sweet goodies. While my son tremendously enjoyed all that stuff, particularly because he doesn't have any condition that will prevent him from eating some foods, I thought of the kids who have allergies or diabetes.

It must be difficult for kids with diabetes when attending Christmas parties, if all the other kids are having goodies you cannot have.
