Diabetes Research Innovator Bernard R. Landau Dies at 80

Dr. Bernard R. Landau is the biochemist who innovated the research on diabetes, he was one of the first to work on finding out how exactly glucose is broken down inside the body - a knowledge that proved invaluable in understanding diabetes today.
Reports say that Landau died in Cleveland last Saturday (March 31, 2007) from a blood-borne infection.
