What: Diabetes Health Fair

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008

Where: FoxCare Center in Oneonta, NY

This Diabetes Health Fair is presented by the Support Group for Dealing with Diabetes which this year will feature 20-30 vendors.

There will be free door prizes and refreshments, including mini sandwiches, cheese and crackers, fruit, drinks and sugar-free cookies. There also be goodie bags with information about diabetes and the heart. The Extend Bar Co. will give away samples of their bars, which presenters said help people manage diabetes. There will also be free sample of Flexitol Heel Balm.

The Support Group For Dealing With Diabetes and the Kids & Teens Diabetes Support Group each meet once a month. Representatives of the group will be at FoxCare to meet the public and speak about diabetes. Vendors will offer information about diabetes equipment, health concerns and more.
