Diabetes Activists Use 15,000 Syringes To Make A Point
No pun intended, honestly. In an effort to raise awareness and seek research funding of Type 1 diabetes, residents in Canberra placed 15,000 syringes on the lawn near Parliament House. Why 15,000? Because this is the approximate number of injections a Type 1 diabetic child will receive in the first 10 years of life.
