Depression May Signal Diabetes In Children

Depression has long been cited as a symptom of diabetes in adults, but a new study has found it to also be a possible indicator in children.
Children with low blood sugar, prevalent in diabetes, often exhibit the symptoms of depression.
The good news is that the signs of depression are often apparent, while physical indicators of diabetes are usually hard to spot.
Parents who see depressive behavior in their children are well advised to schedule a physical, as well as mental, exam for their children.
