Curing Pre-Diabetes

Pre-diabetes is a common condition where people suffer from many of the symptoms of diabetes, yet have not advanced to the point where a diagnosis is official. Call it the ultimate warning signal.
Unlike actual diabetes -- which can be managed through diet, exercise and medication -- pre-diabetes can be cured, said Linda Siminerio, director of the University of Pittsburgh Diabetes Institute.

Alert Day this Tuesday, the Allegheny County Health Department is urging people to go to www.diabetes.org/risk-test to see if they're at risk for Type 2 diabetes, caused by excess of sugar in the blood and generally the result of a lack of physical activity and poor diet.Read more here.
