Comic Books to Fight Diabetes
Brothers battling with diabetes - 13-year-old Kamaal Washington and his 11-year-old brother, Malcolm - have created comic book/characters that are meant to spread awareness about diabetes and empower the people who suffer from the said disease.

[The comic bookslinks tell the stories of children who learn they have diabetes and find themselves visited by Dr. Diabetes. But his wicked intentions are foiled by the heroes of the comics, Omega Boy and later, Mighty Boy.]

The comic books are sold online (for 5$ each) but will be available soon at Walgreens and CVS stores in the Kansas City area and comic book shops across the United States.

Read the full story of the Washington brothers at The Chicago Tribune.
