Cancer Treatment May Control Diabetes

The medicine, Rituximab, appears to target cells that lead to diabetes."This particular drug targets B cells, which are part of the immune system in the body, and part of the cells that create the ongoing process that leads to Type 1 diabetes," said Dr. Jennifer Marks of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Clinical trials are underway for what may become exciting news in diabetes research.
