Not only can diabetes be devastating to health and emotions, it often ravages your wallet.

A recent study listed the average yearly cost per diabetic patient. As the study was conducted by researchers in Texas, they include Texas-specific results, along with statistics for the United States as a whole. Take a look at the results:
