Best Snacks For Preventing And Controlling Diabetes
The best part of eating is the snacking. With thousands of delicious treats out there, who can resist?

Of course, diabetics are used to being told that they MUST resist. Which is absolutely no fun at all. This article provides helpful information on healthier, but tasty, snacks to choose.

That doesn't mean people with diabetes (or those wanting to watch their weight) have to go snackless, however. It just means they should rethink their eating habits.
Think healthy, advises Melanie Hingle, a registered dietitian and nutritionist for the University of Arizona Center for Physical Activity and Nutrition.
Keep it simple, said Leticia Martinez, also a registered dietitian and a certified diabetes educatorlinks with El Rio Community Health Center, 839 W. Congress St.
A doctoral student, Hingle is studying obesity prevention and treatment in elementary schools. She's quick to reassure that "healthy" doesn't translate to "boring rut" like only veggies with some kind of tasteless dip.
