Congrats to the fabulous gals over at The Diabetes Blog for their latest entry detailing five individuals who have beaten diabetes!

Now, this is a controversial subject: many diabetics bristle at the thought that people can 'cure' the disease, but technically correct or not, the eradication of symptoms is worth celebrating.

This quote says it all:

What is interesting about these five authors is that they have taken charge of the situation and found their own way. Sometimes they were assisted by their medical practitioners, but sometimes they carried on in spite of them.

Absolutely. We are in charge of our own health, and nobody should cause you to doubt yourself, or discourage you from trying to make yourself feel better.
