There are many things in life one is tempted to ignore: politics, annoying coworkers, the numbers on the scale creeping up. But diabetes is something that must be acknowledged, and treated properly.

Diabetes is a very serious disease and if left untreated or improperly managed, diabetes can result in a variety of complications, including; heart disease, kidney disease, eye disease, problems with erection (impotence) and irreversible nerve damage.

Too many people suffer the effects of poor blood sugar control and in most instances it is due only to a lack of proper diabetes education. A little attention now will prevent the need for a lot of attention later.
