A simple home test for diabetes Type II

A recent study of 27,000 men and women in Israel found out that women with Type II diabetes are more likely to develop some form of cancer, with colon cancer being the most prevalent.

One of the biggest problems with diabetes is that many people with Type II do not know they are diabetic. If you suspect you may have diabetes, there are products on the Market which one can use to self test. The products test the presence of glucose in urine, a tell-tale sign of the disease.

You don't need a prescription for these tests as most can be brought over the counter. One of the most common types of tests uses something called a 'glucose test strip'. This strip is added to urine that has been collected in a jar or container and left for no more than 2 seconds. The strip will change color, and the color is then checked against an enclosed color comparison chart.

If your results indicate you may be diabetic, make an appointment to see your doctor as soon as posible so that you can being immediate treatment.
