fat cats are being diagnosed with obesity-related diabetes, according to an Edinburgh University study.
A study by Edinburgh University has shown that one in 230 pet cats in the UK is now diabetic.
Overweight cats are said to be more than three times as likely to suffer from diabetes, which develops when the body has problems making insulin.
Cat owners are warned to watch out for the waistlines of their pets.
Could this be a reflection of the owners' lifestyle?

I think it is. Pets can't be obese on their own. It could be that the owner in busy with other things leaving their cat always full.

I think it's pretty obvious that the owner is not taking care of the their pet. It's most likely because of other things they are doing.
